Every Thursday, a new artist takes over the courtyard in Den Gamle By’s 1970s neighbourhood with live music, DJs and summer vibes during the long, light evenings.
Each night brings a different setup – from boogie, funk and the golden sounds of disco’s heyday to rave and techno. Prefer pub bossa or improvised street jazz? No problem. Explore the july lineup below.

2 July. Solace is a collective of young ravers from Aarhus, hosting DIY parties inspired by British rave culture and sound system traditions. Join them as they turn the courtyard into a full-blown party.
9 July. Enjoy the sound of crackling vinyl and golden tracks from the heyday of funk and disco, drink in hand, as we rendezvous our way back to the good old days of the 1970s.
16 July. Experience the Aarhus jazz band that has turned the street into its stage. With a piano on wheels and an unstoppable urge to play, they bring a lively performance to Den Gamle By’s 1970s courtyard.
23 July. When HEJ LEIF takes over the courtyard, expect a fusion of iconic melodies from the past and recordings by contemporary artists. Together, the duo has brought hundreds of young and old together through the sounds of another era.
30 July. Everyday banality gets a welcome splash of colour when it joins forces with the joyful, danceable escapades of samba and the tipsy shuffle of pub bossa in Trubaduren’s wonderfully eccentric universe.
