Watch how Den Gamle By's painters cut glass, use linseed oil putty and maintain Den Gamle By's original windows. Also stop by the Painter's to see how traditional mud colours are made. You can see the window restoration in the large tent at the Festival Grounds.

11 - 12 May

Experience the Danish Art Blacksmithing Championship in Den Gamle By. Watch blacksmiths work and compete against each other in the large tent at the Festival Grounds. It will also be possible to try your hand at blacksmithing yourself or have a chat about the traditional craft.

18 - 20 May

Have you ever had a flat bike tire, holes in your trousers or a dull kitchen knife - without being able to fix it yourself? Then come to Den Gamle By during Whitsuntide and learn how. Den Gamle By's sharpeners, tailors and moped guild will be on hand to offer advice.
