Explore plants with all your senses
6 – 7 & 20 – 21 June
On two summer weekends in June, the gardeners at Den Gamle By invite you to get up close to the plants — into the leaf veins, down to the roots, and into the tiny details you would normally pass by.
In the tent at the festival grounds, you can explore shapes, colours, and textures: touch, see, taste, and smell your way through the plants, and discover how even tiny seedlings can be told apart when you use both your eyes and your fingertips.
Join us as we slow down and take a closer look — at stems, edges, and colours, and at the small signs that reveal a plant’s growth, characteristics, and uses. Become familiar with these distinctive features as you let your pencil capture the organic forms. There is room here for both quiet immersion and shared curiosity.
