In the 1974 Quarter, you can visit the Danish Poster Museum, which is Denmark’s only specialist museum of its kind, with a collection of around 200,000 posters.
Special exhibition: Leisure Travel: An Adventure with the Tourist Poster
An explosion of colour, the golden age of the poster and shared responsibility. Through 151 posters, the exhibition tells the story of the history and development of tourism.
New and older classics
On the first floor, you can see 100 of the most beloved posters from the period 1900 to 2008. See and revisit the great, old classics by Aage Rasmussen, Aage Sikker Hansen, Arne Ungermann, Viggo Vagnby, Ib Antoni, Henrik Hansen and many, many more. And more recent classics such as Per Arnoldi’s iconic DSB posters, Finn Nygaard’s jazz posters or Mikael Witte’s penicillin pig, which is bursting with health.

Gain an insight into the development of the Danish poster, both graphically and historically, with a guided tour of the second floor of the Poster Museum, where you’ll find *The Joy of Recognition* – 100 of the most beloved posters by Denmark’s leading poster artists.
