Step into a period tavern from a bygone age
Visit Winekes Cellar in the Mintmaster’s House and experience a tavern as it might have looked in the early 18th century. Here, you are taken back to a bygone time, where brick walls of monk stone and soft, subdued lighting create a cosy setting for a light bite to eat or something cold to drink.
You can, among other things, sample Den Gamle By’s selection of beers, developed by the town’s proud brewers according to old traditions. You are also welcome to enjoy cakes purchased from the old bakery here.
