In July and August, you can take an evening walk through the historic streets after closing time and enjoy dinner in the atmospheric courtyard of Restaurant Gæstgivergården.
Let the cobbled streets lead you past blooming kitchen and ornamental gardens, spot new details in signs and timber framing, or peer through shop windows in the pedestrian street of the 1974 quarter.
The restaurant’s menu features seasonal dishes such as stjerneskud (fried and poached fish with garnish), Samsø tomatoes, lemon mousse and a crispy patty of oyster mushrooms — served with chilled white wine and expertly mixed cocktails.
Summer evenings require no admission ticket to Den Gamle By after 17:00.
Jazz on Wednesdays
Every Wednesday, you can also enjoy live jazz from 17:00 to 21:00 at Restaurant Gæstgivergården.
