Museums and exhibitions
Once inside Den Gamle By you have free access to our other exciting and beautiful museums and exhibitions. Amonst others you can visit The Danish Museum of Clocks and Watches, which is the Danish national collection of timepieces.
The Jewellery Box - Danish Jewellery of the Twentieth Century is an exhibition with about 1000 danish jewelries of silver and some of gold from 1900-2000.

The first exhibition ever about the history of Aarhus from the viking age until today.
The Gallery of Decorative Arts is a high-security exhibition of the most remarkable objects from three collections of silverware, delftware and porcelain, and clocks and watches.
The Danish Poster Museum shows classic and modern Danish and foreign posters, as well as posters with a political, artistic or commercial message.
Toy Museum
The Toy Museum exhibits about 5000 toys, where the oldest pieces date back to the 1600s, though most of the collection displays toys from the late 1800s to mid-1900s.
The Musaeum displays prehistoric artefacts and Danish local history, showing objects ranging from the Stone Age, to the Renaissance and Baroque period.
Watch and clocks exhibition
Above the Goldsmith and Watchmaker in Algade, you will find a comprehensive collection of clocks and watches with longcase clocks, wall clocks, tower clocks and newer Danish designed wristwatches, such as Georg Jensen.
