House from Randers, approx. 1650
The house is a half-timbered building from 6, Provstegade.
It is constructed with old-fashioned high posts and dentils
under the overhanging roof, both of which are typical of the period.
The house was rebuilt in The Old Town in 1947, as lopsided as
when it was dismantled. Houses the tannery.
.
The shipyard 1800s
The shipyard is built around a slipway as a typical beach shipyard.
There were only a few buildings on the shipyards as most of the work was
done outdoors. The shed, built in 1848, comes from Jacobsen's Square in Troense
near Svendborg on Funen.
The ship on the slipway is the welled smack Fylla weighing
19,6 gross register tons. The welled smack was built by H. Christoffersen
in Assens in 1888.
The shipyard was built in The Old Town in 1999. |
