The gardener's cottage

The propagation greenhouse

The gardener's cottage, approx. 1830
This building, which is from Stenalt Manor near Randers, has a very heavy oak timber frame and was presumably constructed with material from the demolished manor house. Pillars support the overhanging roof, creating extra loft space.
The house was rebuilt in The Old Town in 1954 and is used for storage.

.

The greenhouses, approx. 1830/1850
The parade greenhouse comes from Bernstorff Manor. The propagation greenhouse comes from Geelsgård near Holte.
The greenhouses were rebuilt in The Old Town in 1954 and still function as greenhouses selling potted plants.
