The three-storey house

The brick house

The secret

The houses from Aalborg
The houses from Aalborg are five buildings, originally neighbours and rebuilt as such in The Old Town.

Three-storey house 1585
This half-timbered building comes from a large merchant's property, where this house originally was situated in Jomfru Anegade.
The construction, with jettied storeys, makes each storey broader and longer than that beneath it. The house was rebuilt in The Old Town in 1926.

Brick-built house 1634
This house comes from a large merchant's property, where this house originally was situated in Jomfru Anegade.
Brick-built houses were rare in Danish market towns of the 1600s and 1700s as only few citizens could afford such prestigious buildings.
The house was rebuilt in The Old Town in 1926.

Brick-built house 1807
The building was the merchant's family home and part of a large complex, originally built on the corner of Jomfru Anegade and Grotumsgade.
The house is built in French Empire style. The pink colour wash is original as are the stairway and panels inside.
The house was rebuilt in The Old Town in 1926 and is decorated with different interiors.

House, approx. 1570
Half-timbered house originally built in Grotumsgade as part of the merchant's property. The building, as seen here, is in the style of the early 1900s.
The house was rebuilt in The Old Town in 1926 and houses the glovemaker's workshop, the bookshop and exhibitions of silverware and delftware.

House, approx. 1570
Half-timbered house originally built in Vesteraagade as part of the merchant's property. The extension over the street on the first floor houses a secret - a toilet.
The house was rebuilt in The Old Town in 1934 and houses the brewery.
